Esther Maycock is a deaf British football player. Who was selected to play on the 2005 Deaflympics in Melbourne. In 2002 She had a major knee surgery and did not think she would be able to play football again. Maycock blames God for her knee injury but not her deafness. Being deaf she uses sign language to communicate with people. she is quoted saying, “Jesus has helped me to come to accept
my deafness.”
